Trees play a vital role in flood prevention and climate regulation, absorbing excess rainwater and helping prevent erosion. Through the "Adopt a Tree" program, we're fostering lifelong environmental values among youth. By 2025, we aim for 1000 students to adopt 1000 trees.
The 'Adopt a Tree' program_ we cab take personal responsibility for our environment by encouraging people to plant, train & nurture trees. These trees, in turn, help combat flooding, offer shade to our homes and broadly contribute to mitigating the impacts of #climatechange.
Did you know? 13 out of 18 LGAs in Edo State face flood risks. SEGEF’s tree adoption program mobilizes youth to fight floods & promote a greener future! #GreenFuture#FloodMitigation#AdoptATree#NGEi
We're empowering youth and children in Edo State to combat floods and promote reforestation through tree adoption. Stay tuned for daily updates on our impact! #AdoptATree#Youth4Green#SEGEF#NGEi
SEGEF is a Non-Governmental Organization committed to Environmental Protection, Climate Action, Good Governance, Green Economy and Advocacy.
It also focuses on youth and women Empowerment through initiatives like NGEi and Empowering Green Program.

Did you know plastic makes up 80% of all marine debris found from surface waters to deep-sea sediments? We urgently need a global plastics treaty that directly addresses plastic pollution’s impact on biodiversity.
Our updated Issues Brief explains https://t.co/9JKEomP8eU #INC4
Plastics do more harm to our environment than good. It's time to cut down the production and use of plastics and protect our planet for our future generations. We have nowhere else to go. #WorldEarthDay#PlanetVsPlastics
