The best and most unexpected string of Seger quotes I’ve seen in a long time.

Says a lot that America dips into the $750 billion defense budget to pull the National Guard in as substitute teachers instead of just paying teachers a living wage.

You're spending public money to solve the problem either way but would rather keep wages down than help kids.

“Music is probably the one real magic I have encountered in my life. There’s not some trick involved with it. It’s pure and it’s real. It moves, it heals, it communicates and does all these incredible things.”

I don't take royalties for recording bands. This is normal ethical behavior in every other industry and should not be exceptional or notable in music. That it comes up every time we discuss how musicians get paid ought to be embarrassing, but for the nth time...

@BrianStack153 @tammygolden Which was actually from 1963, but he didn’t know that because of no google or 1962 just sounded better.

[Brian Stack @BrianStack153]

Just realized that Bob Seger singing “Started hummin’ a song from 1962” in “Night Moves” would be the equivalent of someone today singing “Started hummin’ a song from 2008”.

Good music always makes me feel lucky. Check out this cool new song "The Lucky Ones" from The Noted, a band I've been following for several years. Good stuff. https://t.co/9r249UgQS9

Seger on the Simpsons. @grahamorama of the Detroit News writes: "Seger is a big fan of "The Simpsons" and he taped his voice performance for the show last fall, according to a member of his management team." https://t.co/BNMYaPTNV5

[SegerFile @Segerfile]

@vin34dmb @wcsx Ah, the Vault! Nope, I had never heard the song at that point.

[SegerFile @Segerfile]

If you missed this on Monday, listen to Big Jim's House on WCSX on Tuesday at 7 am, Michigan time for a repeat. Rare chance to hear Seger's first song. I caught it this morning. Totally great. @wcsx

[Jim O’Brien @jimobriendet]

The first song written by @BobSeger - recorded in 1961 and never aired on #Detroit radio...until today at 8am @wcsx @BeasleyMedia

That didn't last long. Seger's off the Jazz Fest bill. https://t.co/xrlEQrJwje

[SegerFile @Segerfile]

Seger's added his version of Forever Young to the setlist lately, paying tribute to so many that we've lost. It's a great, great moment near the end of the set. Wow. (Thanks to Seger fan extraordinaire Michael Funk for sending me the link!) https://t.co/XNuPc49dtq
