Finished curating for the next exhibition at @Casa_NUA - Dominio Público 6529! We’re saying goodbye to the current exhibit of the 30 founding Formosa 1-of-1s, which runs until Fri April 24.
This next curation, our 1st based only on The Memes by @punk6529, will be a “back to the roots” exhibit to educate the local public and media about The Memes, 6529, what it means to seize jpgs, and our dear values of freedom to transact and the mission towards the Open Metaverse.
There will of course be many SZN 1 classics in it, which I’m sure you can guess, but also a few cards very fresh out of mint!
The new curation drops April 29 and I can’t wait to show you! We will then release the full list of the 56 (!!!) cards in the exhibition and the respective artists.
Curating Meme Cards has been a delicious task, there’s so much material to work with and so many paths to take. Themes, styles, media, vibes, concepts… lots of diversity and many ways to mix and match and forge a narrative. What a glorious collection we have built.
And soon after we drop this, we debut our experiments in decentralizing decisions on upcoming curatorial proposals on Brain. Will be fun! If you haven’t, please join us on the Domínio Público 6529 wave to get ready.

We’re still not at the finishing line but I stopped at Formosa last night with the artist we are working with for the upcoming Formosa Meme Card, and recorded a little heartfelt thank you video for everyone who’s been helping make Formosa 6529 a reality!
Been living and breathing this project day and night, and being so involved and dedicated to The Memes for so long, I knew we would all be there for it, as Formosa is just the perfect example of the public good cloud-to-land initiative that we must foment if we care about spreading the overarching Decentralization meme. It’ll be amazing to spend my days explaining this shared mission IRL at Formosa.
It took about 4 years and I finally submitted to @punk6529 MEMEs.
Photography is "NOT DED."
These are the bones of Lucy in a museum in Ethiopia. The first human, all of our shared ancestor. She is a part of the Moments of the Unknown final portrait come April 2026. Where the past, present, and future generations are all in one frame. To create unity across families for the oneness of humanity. By digging deep in our ancient roots from whence we all come from. We cannot ignore we are all related. So, how can we work together again, as a family? For the future to be brighter and kinder for us all and those to come?
I named this NOT DED, for two reasons.
1. It is a playful nod to the inside joke in this community that Photography NFTs are dead. Why? Because there is no volume or collectors. For now... I believe that photography may be the most important resource to keep our humanity in tact and out of trouble, as well as discover the truth. As the tech companies and web software researches and develops more AI tools for us to use and consume, the line of authenticity quickly becomes blurred. Look at how far Sora has come along on Instagram and Tiktok. It's nearly believable to the untrained eye. I believe photography will be the tool to combat these inaccuracies and misinformation because the blockchain will credit and validate the original sources. Labeled if it is even a real person, place or an event that occurred. It's not just about the art as a medium to create historical or investment value, but the underlying message that it can carry across chains and platforms. It is the arbiter of truth in an age of disinformation. It is a mirror to reality, not an imagined hallucination from a computation neural network.
2. Lucy may have died many thousands of years ago, but her skeleton, memory and her legacy shape our future. What she represents is the life after death. How she educates us as we continue to evolve from once she stood upright and gave us natural intelligence in a world we are quickly becoming artificially intelligent. How many of us can say the same, we may end up in cemeteries or crematoriums and our memory will be wiped away like a reformatted hard drive. Sure maybe our art and our words may resonate through the history books, or better yet, across the universe in satellite memory banks or validation nodes in distant galaxies. Who knows! She will always be our fairy godmother that gave us life and got us to where we are today. We carry her DNA in every step and every breath we take. She is alive because of us as we continue to evolve. Lucy is NOT DED. And, neither are we.
