@MisterB809@HardwareUnboxed Thanks for the deep dive, I appreciate it a lot. So, in the end, how do you know if an upgrade is worth it? Compare benchmarks done on similar builds?
ZOWIE G-SR series mouse pads with controlled glide feeling are popular with gamers, we are now excited to announce the new "TR” series a soft base version of ZOWIE’s control mouse pads.
This series features a softer rubber base delivers effortless stopping with superior stability and support, minimizing excessive depression during spraying or flicking, while reducing discomfort from desk surface hardness. It also provides enhanced elasticity for seamless transitions from stop to motion, delivering quick rebound and stable movement.
Additionally, the TR series features new anti-slip base, making it less likely for the mouse pads to move during intense operations. Furthermore, this new anti-slip base allows the mouse pads to lay flat on the desk more easily right out of the box.
The TR series will launch with a new 50x50 cm size option, offering players more size choices. The anti-slip feature and the new 50x50 cm size will be introduced across all ZOWIE mouse pad series.

@HardwareUnboxed I have a 165 Hz panel, but hitting that in games is almost impossible without low settings and even then. So basically, the higher I go with settings the less the CPU matters? I have a i5 12600kf and I honestly have absolutely no idea if swapping to new cpu makes any sense.
