You can learn more about this saga by watching a documentary about the work of our fellow @meronina. This one was about the same thing being done in Egypt: https://t.co/KVDma6uHKE
Sudanese refugees trapped in Ethiopia are going to go on hunger strikes. @UNHCREthiopia where are you?
What we heard from our own refugees in Sudan w.r.t. @UNHCRSudan was horrific, & I'll share some things publicly once I'm sure they are safe and can't be retaliated against.

Devastated to learn about Tesfaldet Meharenna's death. I will always admire his contributions to Eritrean activism - from pioneering the legendary https://t.co/oEP4gSez1j, to actively supporting others in the movement (especially women). Thank you for everything Tes❤️
“Grasp your one necessity and not let it go, dangle from it limp, wherever it takes you. Then even death, where you are going no matter how you live, cannot you part.”
Tesfaldet (Tes) Meharenna: A man who knew his one necessity and lived it fully and compassionately.
All Eritreans need to commemorate the date 18 September because that was the day, 22 years ago, our free press was shut down, the arrests of the high profile dissidents started and Isaias took full control. It was the day our country forever changed.
We can never forget.
22 years a go an Evil & illegal dictatorship being started officially in #Eritrea. Since then, thousands of citizens are still suffering incommunicado prisons & dying without any court appearance. #22StolenYears#Yiakl#Eritrea

This is so heartbreaking watching a mother cry in anguish over her missing son. 💔
I really hope and pray that she finds her son. No parent deserves to go through this pain.

URGENT: Sudan is facing a horrific humanitarian crisis, with civilians caught in the crossfire as Sudan's two most powerful military forces fight for power.

The situation for Eritrean refugees who have fled Khartoum is devastating. They don't even have the most basic supplies and no institutional support. Many talk about the incredible kindness from the Sudanese people in the towns they have fled to which is so beautiful… (contd ⬇️)
There are videos circulating online that claim to show the Eritrean embassy being kicked out of Sudan, but it is misinformation. This type of misinformation, during a civil war in Sudan, can put Eritreans that are in Sudan in danger. It is important to be mindful and diligent.
I don't know how to explain how bad things are. That things have come down to choosing your life and the lives of the families staying with critical patients and in a way giving up on the patient because you have nothing to offer! Oxygen tanks ran out, pharmacies closed.
