We came, we sparkled, we went 3-4 in the 14U National Power Pool against some TOUGH competition. There were plenty of take aways from this year’s Sparkler tourney, both for myself individually and as a team.

One of the most fun moments for me was getting to play in the 14U Power Pool Showcase on our off day. There was no GameChanger, but I went 3-4 at the plate and got to play SS, 3B , and CF. I had a really smooth backhand at 3B that the coach for the opposing team gave me a high-five for 😁, plus a few plays at short, and a nice catch in center. It was a fun experience that I would definitely do again!

Up next: Guest playing with my friends from Team KS Hays in the Heartland World Series here in KC starting on Thursday, then back on the road to Chesterfield MO for the Triple Crown Nationals with my @SelectFP09 teammates.

This week wasn't perfect, but it was another opportunity to learn and compete against great competition.
After hitting my first home run of the tournament, I let a couple of tough games at the plate affect my approach. I'm proud of how I responded by making adjustments, trusting my preparation, and finishing the week with quality at-bats.
