Background check mistakes:
In 2018 a background check company listed a 2013 larceny & burglary conviction on a candidate's background check. BUT, the charge was actually expunged in 2014.

Airbnb can ban you for having a criminal record. However, the article reports that their background checks are not very accurate because they do a "database" background check. Maybe do your own background check.
