"Visa processed 37 billion transactions in FY2008, ... That many transactions would take ... 2 HD quality movies of bandwidth.
If BTC gets big, it would take several years, and by then, sending 2 HD movies over the Internet would probably not seem like a big deal." - Satoshi
"If you want something done well, do it yourself".
For too long we have relied on governments to build our public infrastructure.
That's why it's shit.
Bitcoin is maintained by anyone and everyone who wants to chip in, and that is beautiful.

@PremiumSeneca @mohitmadaan It isn't fully operational yet(needs to get quicker and cheaper). But it kind of already works, and it's infrastructure that is built, used, and maintained by ordinary people. Its the first time we collectively built something instead of relying on governments and corporations
Trans, and absolutely hate being in crypto sometimes. The name I picked years ago and legally changed to got picked up years later by an absolute shitcoin. I can't even use my name much anymore; god forbid someone knows what that token is.
@Integrit333 @SpriterTeam Cash is super important. Many dont realise Bitcoins main goal is to uphold the integrity of cash in a digital world by maintaining people ability to spend freely without government/bank intervention
@H_E_Henson @SpriterTeam It got a reputation for money laundering as government were too slow to figure this out but now all exchanges have KYC. The best way to launder money is niche privacy preserving cryptos or traditional banking system where Russia successfully hid 200 Billion in election bribes
@H_E_Henson @SpriterTeam A common misconception is bitcoin is good for crime. It's is actually very hard to launder money on Bitcoin network because its a publicly viewable ledger so a simple Google search will reveal all transactions you've ever done and its extremely easy to trace criminals
