Part IV

Bruce’s New Life without Satoshi

As Bitcoin’s influence grew, so did Bruce’s fame. Farmers and activists alike painted his image on barns and murals, calling him The Cow Who Changed the World. People traveled from all corners of the globe to meet Bruce, now a living legend.

But despite the admiration, Bruce remained humble, living on a picturesque farm owned by The Caretaker, a kindhearted farmer.

The Caretaker, who had been entrusted with Bruce’s care, treated him like royalty. “You’re not just a cow, Bruce,” The Caretaker would say as he brushed Bruce’s glossy coat. “You’re a symbol of freedom. A reminder that even the simplest things—a calf, an idea—can change the world.”

But that life wasn’t enough for Bruce…

The Caretaker stood at the edge of the pasture, watching Bruce graze under the dim light of an overcast sky. The bull had grown into a towering figure, his black-and-white coat striking against the cold gray backdrop, the golden Bitcoin mantle around his neck glinting faintly. For years, The Caretaker had served as Bruce’s quiet guardian, knowing the bull represented more than he could ever fully understand. Deep down, The Caretaker knew he wasn’t enough.

The whispers even reached his isolated farm—of the jeets poisoning everything they touched, of greed consuming the ideals that Bitcoin was supposed to stand for. The dream of decentralization was being suffocated under the weight of bad actors and jeets. These parasites, driven by unchecked selfishness, had turned the crypto ecosystem into a battlefield of scams and betrayal. Every story made The Caretaker feel the weight of his failure. He loved Bruce, but he had never been able to summon the courage to let him go. To let Bruce fulfil the glorious purpose Satoshi had entrusted to him.

The Caretaker wanted to believe he could shield Bruce from the world’s chaos, but that wasn’t what Bruce was meant for. And so, the days rolled into months, and Bruce’s mantle remained a symbol of untapped destiny, glowing faintly but never ignited.

That night, when The Caretaker saw the group approaching the barn, he felt a strange mixture of relief and dread. The Herd had come. The time had come.

Part III

Satoshi’s Departure

As Bitcoin began to gain traction, so did the questions about its creator. Satoshi Nakamoto became a name whispered across the world, but no one truly knew who he was—or where he came from. Satoshi understood that his growing fame was a threat to his mission.

One crisp morning, he stood in the pasture, his satchel packed. Bruce stood beside him, sensing something was about to change.

“This is goodbye, my friend,” Satoshi said, kneeling to press his forehead against Bruce’s. “I’ve given the world Bitcoin, but now I must step aside. The future is in your hooves now, Bruce. You’ll be the symbol of what this movement means. They’ll look to you for hope, for courage. And you won’t let them down.”

Bruce let out a low, mournful moo as if he understood.

Before walking away, Satoshi placed a simple, golden mantle embroidered with a Bitcoin symbol around Bruce’s neck. “This is yours now,” he said. “Wear it proudly. And remember, no matter where I am, I’ll always believe in you. They will too.”

With that, Satoshi disappeared, leaving behind only the legend of Bitcoin—and Bruce, with a B.
