Seminole State College will welcome seven-time Olympic medalist, cancer survivor and author Shannon Miller for “Strength Beyond the Medal” at 11 a.m. Thursday, Sept. 10, in the Jeff Johnston Fine Arts Auditorium.
The event is presented by SSC’s NASNTI program.

SSC’s newest Physical Therapist Assistant Program cohort recently attended orientation. The event introduced students to faculty, student support services, program expectations and team-building activities as they began the 2026-27 academic year.
Fresh Pressed Health will be held Thursday, July 30, at 6 p.m. Taught by Jacqueline Bourne, owner of OK B Healthy, the class includes juice samples, take-home recipes and juicing tips.

SSC Vice President for Academic and Student Affairs Dr. Bill Knowles has been named chair of the Oklahoma State Regents for Higher Education’s Council on Student Affairs for 2026-27. An SSC alumnus and 20-year employee, Knowles will begin his term at the council’s July meeting.

Congratulations to Seminole State College’s head baseball coach Mack Chambers on being honored as 2026 ABCA/ATEC NJCAA DI South-Central Regional coach of the year!
The Seminole State College Board of Regents recently approved the College’s FY27 budget. The budget maintains current tuition and fee rates, meaning students will see no increase in tuition or mandatory fees for the coming academic year.
