Fans of a certain club is fine with the owners borrowed money and have 1.1B in debt but they draw the line when a rival team splashing money to improve the team π
Which would you rather have at your club pal?
Owner A - Piles debt on club, sets them back decades
Owner B - No ambition to try to win, exists to collect TV money and profit on player sales
Owner C - Massively improves club and local area surrounding, makes them successful
Ffp rules created so that the owner of the clubs (billionaires) can keep their money so they won't invest in the teams they owned no matter how they did
Won't be a popular opinion but punishing owners for showing ambition and spending money to improve their clubs will never sit right with me considering what other owners get away with.
Financial restrictions encourage bad ownership.
