The overwhelming show of love, unity and solidarity by our people at yesterday’s “Ilaro Parapo for YAYI” programme, themed “Unity, Development and Political Future of Ilaro District,” was a remarkable demonstration of the strong bond we share with our people and our collective aspirations for the continued development of Ilaro and its environs.
During the engagement, we reflected on our longstanding promise to transform Ilaro into a “Small London” through strategic infrastructural development. Over the years, we have facilitated significant interventions in road construction, healthcare, education, security, electricity and other critical sectors, which have continued to transform the outlook of our beloved town.
We also highlighted our legislative efforts towards upgrading the Federal Polytechnic, Ilaro, to the Federal University of Technology, Ilaro, as part of our vision to expand educational opportunities and strengthen the town’s status as a university community.
We remain profoundly grateful to our people for their overwhelming reception, genuine affection and unwavering support. We equally reiterated our expectation of securing over 60,000 votes from Ilaro District in the 2027 governorship election.
Our commitment remains unwavering as we continue to consolidate these achievements, accelerate infrastructural development and extend meaningful progress to every part of Ogun State.
WE HAVE FACILITATED AN ULTRAMODERN AREA COMMAND POLICE STATION IN IMEKO-AFON
As part of our continued commitment to strengthening security and improving public safety across Ogun West Senatorial District, we have facilitated the construction of an ultramodern, fully furnished Area Command Police Station in Imeko-Afon Local Government Area.
The facility includes two units of three-bedroom bungalows for senior police officers, a 30KVA generator, a 15KVA solar inverter system, air-conditioning, water supply facilities, modern furnishings and landscaping.
Through this intervention, we aim to enhance police operations, improve personnel welfare, strengthen security coordination and provide a safer environment for residents and businesses.
This project further reinforces our commitment to community development and complements the security and infrastructure initiatives of the Ogun State Government under the leadership of Governor @DapoAbiodunCON

Today, my dear wife, Mrs. Temitope Adeola, and I joined family members, friends and other well-wishers at the funeral service and burial ceremony of Late Princess Victoria Osondu Adefala (née Nkuku), the beloved wife of my dear friend, Mr. Leke Adefala, who passed away on September 2, 2026, at the age of 60.
It was a solemn and emotional occasion as we gathered to celebrate her life, honour her cherished memories and pay our last respects to a dearly beloved wife, mother, sister and friend.
We extend our heartfelt condolences to our dear friend, Mr. Leke Adefala, their children, Adebayo and Adeoba, her siblings, extended family members and numerous friends over this painful loss.
We recognise that the departure of a beloved wife, devoted mother and cherished family member leaves a profound void that words alone cannot fill. Our thoughts and prayers remain with the entire family during this difficult period of grief and mourning.
We pray that Almighty God grants her soul eternal rest, comforts her husband, children and loved ones, and gives everyone affected by her passing the strength, courage and fortitude to bear this irreparable loss.
May her gentle soul rest in perfect peace. Amen.
Today, in the company of my dear wife, Mrs. Temitope Adeola, we paid a courtesy visit to our highly revered spiritual father, Bishop David Oyedepo, Founder of Living Faith Church Worldwide, popularly known as Winners’ Chapel, at Canaanland, Ota, Ogun State.
The visit provided us with a wonderful opportunity to interact with the distinguished man of God, whose remarkable contributions to Christianity, spiritual development, education and humanity have continued to inspire millions of people across Nigeria and beyond. We deeply appreciate the warm reception accorded to us and remain grateful for his fatherly prayers and blessings.
As part of our visit, we also toured the ongoing construction of The Ark, a magnificent worship centre designed to accommodate over 100,000 worshippers at a time.
We were particularly impressed by the sheer magnitude of the project, its breathtaking architectural design, sophisticated engineering and the extraordinary vision behind its conception. The Ark is indeed an architectural masterpiece and a remarkable demonstration of what can be accomplished through visionary leadership, unwavering faith, dedication and commitment to excellence.
We commend Bishop David Oyedepo for his extraordinary vision, unwavering faith and the tremendous sacrifices made towards the realisation of this monumental project, which will further strengthen the position of Ogun State as a major destination for religious tourism and spiritual activities.
Once again, we sincerely appreciate Bishop David Oyedepo for his warm hospitality, fatherly affection and prayers. We pray that Almighty God continues to strengthen, preserve and bless him with sound health, greater wisdom and many more years of impactful service to God and humanity.

CELEBRATING WORLD FOOD DAY: OUR COMMITMENT TO AGRICULTURAL DEVELOPMENT AND FARMERS’ EMPOWERMENT IN OGUN STATE
As we commemorate World Food Day 2026, we reaffirm our commitment to strengthening food security, empowering farmers and promoting sustainable agricultural development across Ogun State.
Between 2025 and 2026, we facilitated two major agricultural empowerment programmes reportedly reaching 8,467 farmers, providing modern farming equipment, fertilisers, improved seedlings, irrigation facilities, financial grants and agricultural training.
Through these interventions, we facilitated the distribution of:
1. 30 tractors to promote mechanised farming.
2. 434 haulage tricycles to improve agricultural transportation.
3. 18,560 bags of fertiliser to support crop production.
4. 1,536 water pumps to improve irrigation.
5. 3,300 knapsack sprayers for crop protection.
6. 83 power tillers to support land preparation.
7. Improved seeds, seedlings and other essential agricultural inputs.
8. Financial grants of ₦100,000 each to eligible beneficiaries.
We also supported agricultural training, cooperative development and farmers’ clusters to encourage the effective utilisation of equipment and improve agricultural productivity.
Our interventions, initially concentrated in Ogun West, have expanded to benefit farmers across the three senatorial districts of Ogun State.
We recognise agriculture as a critical driver of economic growth, employment generation, rural development and food security. We remain committed to supporting our hardworking farmers with the resources and opportunities needed to increase food production and improve their livelihoods.
On this World Food Day, we celebrate our farmers and reaffirm our commitment to building a more productive, prosperous and food-secure Ogun State.
