Proud to announce I’ve received an “F” rating from the @NRA.
Keeping our communities safe is my top priority. I wrote Virginia’s red flag law to do exactly that.
If the NRA has a problem with that? Too bad for them.
I am grateful to have had the opportunity and ability to represent many Northern Virginians.
I am still working hard to make Virginia the best that it can be. There is more work to do, and I look forward to continuing to serve our commonwealth.
Although I was not nominated for the 36th District Senate seat last night, I’m honored that the voters of the existing 39th District placed their trust in me to represent them in Richmond for 16 years.
Today is Election Day. I'm supporting @SenDaveMarsden , @SenatorBarker, @ChapPetersen, and @JeremyMcPike. They have been great stewards of government and will continue the work that needs to be done. Polls are open until 7pm —Go Vote.
It’s Juneteenth.
Today is a day to celebrate, but also to reflect and recommit ourselves to the cause of true equality.
Here in Virginia and across the nation, the fight for civil rights continues.
Leadership isn’t about being the loudest person in the room.
It’s about delivering results like expanding Medicaid access and protecting abortion — both of which I have done.

Today is National Loving Day. 56 years ago, on June 12th, a landmark Supreme Court decision was handed down allowing interracial marriage, forbidding states from infringing on the rights of citizens to marry who they love. #LovingDay#demandequality#Virginia

In Richmond, @SenatorBarker has fought to fund historic pay increases, overtime rights, paid leave benefits & hazard pay for frontline home care workers. @SEIU members are proud to endorse his campaign so that we can continue the fight for home care justice!
“We prefer his understated, hypercompetent approach to building coalitions and getting the job done.”
Thank you to the @washingtonpost for your support!
