I was glad to meet with Gina Gennari who designs pins of Maite's shoes in her honor and in support of gun safety reform.
We must take action to keep our children, our schools, and communities safe from gun violence.
Maite Rodriguez loved animals, the beauty of our planet and our environment, and dreamed of becoming a marine biologist. She always wore her green Converse sneakers to school with a drawn-on black heart at the toe.
Tragically, Maite lost her life during the Uvalde shooting along with 18 of her classmates and two of her teachers. She was just 10 years old.
Her green sneakers have since become a symbol of gun violence prevention and a call to action for common-sense gun safety reform.

I was glad to visit St. Christopher's to see some of the donated goods that will be distributed to impacted residents. This is the power of community.
UPDATE: The Lincoln March students marched, they spoke, and they were heard in the halls of Harrisburg.

Lincoln deserves full funding, now.
I was glad to welcome students from @LincolnUofPA to the Senate as they completed their 66 mile march to Harrisburg calling on the legislature to release their funding.
Letโs get this bill passed, support our students, and fully fund Lincoln.
