Watching Portugal vs Croatia back, and within the FIRST 15 MINUTES ONLY, I've seen Ronaldo:
- Make 3 runs in behind.
- Make 2 box-crashing runs, in one of which he was completely free.
- Make a 3rd crashing run where he pulled Bruno's marker away from him, leading to Portugal's best chance of the entire game.
- Get into (non-crashing) good positions to receive crosses, in one of which he made an insane leap (See below) and still missed the cross.
- Facilitate a great 3rd-man run opportunity.
- Create beneficial central and wide overloads & triangles on 5 occasions.
I'm glad I took the right position in regards to his actions when the game was going (The 2nd point in the quoted tweet).
The difference between Messi and Ronaldo is that when Ronaldo scores, the world talks about Ronaldo; when Ronaldo doesn't score, the world still talks about Ronaldo; when Messi doesn't score, the world talks about Ronaldo; when Messi scores, the world continues to talk about Ronaldo. 😊
Wow. It's complicated being Ronaldo. 😂😂😁
I don’t rly watch the Prem so I won’t judge Gabriel solely on this tournament…
That being said, I’ve yet to see why he’s rated as highly as I generally see on apocalypse media.
Never wise to judge based on an Int’l tournament, ofc, for many reasons.
Romário directly asked Ronaldo Nazário about the viral quote claiming he called Lionel Messi the greatest of all time. 👀
Ronaldo (R9) : "I never said Messi is the best in history… We discovered it was a fabricated by the newspaper Mundo Deportivo in Barcelona. They published it with a photo of me and a fake quote, making it seem like it came from me!" ❌📰
Another Messi PR exposed!
🚨🗣 Ralf Ragnick on the Match against Argentina:
"I don't want to say much about it. If you see how Argentina got their goals and how they got a Penalty and how some of Argentina's players were fouling our players and weren't punished, then I don't think it was a fair game." 🤔
🏴 🗣 Piers Morgan:
"The worst Wednesday and Stoke on a dark, cold night. You can choose one of them. Messi or Ronaldo to score a goal to save your life. Which one are you choosing?"
🏴🗣 Sean Dyche:
"Ronaldo. That's not to do with Ronaldo, Piers. That's because somebody's done it in so many different situations, so many different clubs.
But that's not to say that he's a more magical player. But if you're about a productive player when you need him, then I'd go for Ronaldo over the different reasons. That's not necessarily better. They're both geniuses.
What I'm saying is, the productivity is different. That's what I'm saying. Messi needs a team that plays a certain way. I think Ronaldo could play in most teams. He can head it. He's big. He's strong. Messi needs the ball. He needs... He's a genius, but he needs players around to give him it, work for him.
I think Ronaldo can handle the other parts. And that's why he's played at so many different clubs and been productive. That's the only reason. I'm talking about productivity. Both geniuses in my view."
