Of a dishonest & blatantly unlawful invasion.
Of unrelenting war crimes.
Of unimaginable fear & suffering.
Of staggering displacement.
Of contempt for the fundamental precepts of our fragile international order.
Of silencing brave voices opposed to this illegal war.
I’m going to point out the elephant in the room. The U.K. and US committed in 1994 to protect the territorial integrity of Ukraine in exchange for Ukraine giving up its nuclear weapons. Now that is being threatened, we have a moral imperative to at least set up a no-fly zone.

Senator Elaine McCoy dead at 74. McCoy, a lawyer and former Alberta cabinet minister, was appointed in 2005. She was the last Senator to sit as a Progressive Conservative before becoming an independent. She was known for championing human rights and environmental causes.
