This year’s state budget supports individuals w/ intellectual disabilities by increasing investments in assistive services for this population. This increase will help ensure they receive the supportive services they need and deserve.
On August 7th, we recognize the brave men and women who were killed or wounded while serving in the United States Armed Forces. Let us all take a moment to reflect on the service and sacrifice of those who have received the Purple Heart.
Congratulations Rosedale Technical College on the completion of a yearlong renovation of the #1 Cochran TechEx Center. This exciting transformation will allow the school to educate more students for high-demand technical careers in automotive and collision repair.
I had the pleasure of touring the state-of-the-art Enterprise Mobilitiy’s facility at the @PITairport to learn about Enterprise Mobility’s impact on Southwest PA.
I am glad to see several projects in our district receive funding from @PennDOTNews’ Green Light Go program. This funding will improve traffic signals in our communities to increase traffic safety and mobility, reducing congestion and improving traffic flow.
It’s no secret that PA is experiencing a childcare crisis that’s hit working families hard. I was proud to vote for this funding boost to help childcare facilities attract & keep high-quality employees & provide reprieve for families in need of childcare support.
Congratulations to Mark Miller on his retirement as principal of Eisenhower Elementary School and Supervisor of Elementary Education at @uscschools.
Thank you for your dedication to Eisenhower Elementary School – enjoy your well-deserved retirement!
Nursing homes & long-term care services received a necessary funding boost in this year’s state budget. As PA’s population continues to age, we must ensure we’re investing in the future of our senior citizens – they deserve the support & resources needed to thrive later in life.
Very proud of this impressive team from @uscschools for earning top honors in TWO international competitions! Their work is not only award-winning, but it’s helping real people in our local community. Read more 👇🏻

We cannot allow school facilities to be a source of toxic lead exposure for our children. My bill helps mitigates the risks.
Proud that the state budget expands eligibility requirements for the Ready to Succeed Scholarship Program, which was created through legislation I sponsored in 2024 to help more PA students access scholarships making higher education more affordable: https://t.co/A94dTbM9Vd

Last year, I was proud to join the 60-member crew of the USCG’s Cutter Osage Sewickley in a wreath laying ceremony for Memorial Day.
I am pleased to celebrate National Night Out by supporting law enforcement in the 37th District, across PA, and around the country. Be sure to thank your local first responders today! #NationalNightOut
Happy International Assistance Dog Week. Today, we honor the devoted service dogs who make a difference in our communities and support vulnerable individuals by helping them navigate their daily lives.
(1/2) My Senate colleagues and I are serious about public safety and securing our communities, which is why we acted decisively and in a bipartisan way to meet the Court’s July 24 deadline to create new sentencing guidelines for felony murder convictions.
I was honored to present a citation to CMSGT Charles W. Wiley on his retirement from his position as Command Chief of the 171st Air Refueling Wing. Thank you for your dedication to the 171st and I wish you the best in your retirement!

I am proud to work with local first responders to ensure they have the resources they need.
This is exactly the type of scenario we could avoid by enacting my bill to allow non-profit organizations to fundraise by accepting online payments. This is a sad situation for this charity, and I'm hopeful the House will advance my commonsense bill soon.
