@leithofleith@eclipsethis2003 It'll most likely get a plea deal, but it'll be prosecuted. Not sure why you think it wouldn't. It's armed robbery, not misdemeanor theft.
@Jim_Jordan Yes, they investigated, collected evidence and built a case for over a year in prediction that SVB would collapse and they could indict Trump to hide it. Do you even think through the absolutely gibberish you spout? This makes absolutely no logical sense.
@mamasaurusMeg@JeremyRedfernFL As I said, it's a comedic take. It does address the silliness in trying to define art and pornography though. But whatever, I guess comedy is a step too far, eh?
@mamasaurusMeg@JeremyRedfernFL Congrats, I guess you got the "woke" buzzword in. The only lengths I'll go to are the ones which protect at-risk children from stubborn people who refuse to listen to actual research on child development.
@mamasaurusMeg@JeremyRedfernFL They're concerned because of fearmongering. There is no evidence to support that discussions about gender identity "groom" kids, but there is absolutely support that kids who receive no help for identity issues are at a much higher risk of suicide.
@GrayBUGames @RyanShead Were the officers at Uvalde not armed? If arming people at schools solved the problem, that'd be great. In fact, SROs have already become very common in urban schools, so there are already armed personnel. It doesn't work.
@mamasaurusMeg@JeremyRedfernFL I agree, you can definitely interpret the statute to say the book goes against it. That's the problem. Books with pictures of the Sistine Chapel would violate that statute.
@mamasaurusMeg@JeremyRedfernFL But it's really not, and the statute addressed offer no better definition. The line between art, pornography, and obscenity has always been problematic. Try to define it in a way schools could control it. The video below as a comedic take on the problem.

@mamasaurusMeg@JeremyRedfernFL The book you showed me was not using photographs. It was using cartoony drawings. I do agree there should be a limit, I just disagree that vaguely saying no "pornography" is the right way. I'm positive that what you consider pornography would not be the same as what I would.
@mamasaurusMeg@JeremyRedfernFL The evidence I've seen suggests schools offer age appropriate sexual education. You offered the example of "It's Perfectly Normal," which in looking at I was apprehensive for young children. Then I learned that book was in middle and high schools. Different situation entirely.
@mamasaurusMeg@JeremyRedfernFL "Pornography" is vague. HB 1467 lines 89-94 are vague. You're fighting to maintain outdated ideas about sex and sex education. Please, if you are teaching children, take a moment and read the actual research on the topic.
@mamasaurusMeg@JeremyRedfernFL Do you think sexual education classes do not have images of nude male and female genitalia? What am I supposed to be quoting here? Of course there is some nudity in sex ed, it's literally educating adolescents about sexual organs.
@mamasaurusMeg@JeremyRedfernFL You really should look into the research on the positive outcomes that result from implementing sexual education programs.

@mamasaurusMeg@JeremyRedfernFL Reading comprehension. I said I was okay with discussions on both sex and racism, which I am. Funny how YOU interpret that to mean adult sexual education. Perhaps, that's why vague terminology is problematic. "Discussions" must mean something else to you than it does to me.
