@BenGrahamUK@Cllr_Seb Parties aren’t meant to disagree with each other over every single point for the sake of it, though. It’s great there is some common ground…
If the bin wins, then what’s on the cards? Will @reformparty_uk bin their leader? Will @RobertJenrick take the helm? Will the party be a spent force or will it morph into something else without @Nigel_Farage? Predictions on a postcard… ✉️ 🗳️ #Clacton
@RobertJenrick Nigel Farage says he’s our next PM, but has thrown a hissy fit instead of allowing scrutiny of his finances. I’d say where is the outrage from the establishment, but you lot *are* the establishment 😂
@SuellaBraverman If you can’t hold you nose over legislation that gets you at least partially what you want - despite you not being in power - then you can’t be taken seriously. If it really meant something to you, you’d take incremental wins. It’s just about performative outrage and power.
Just look at the absolute state of this. If saying a rival party aren't fit to be in government is "reckless hate", words really have lost all meaning. Reform supporters want all the benefits of being a major party with none of the attendant scrutiny. Completely unserious people.
@ZiaYusufUK There’s no official narrative. The investigation is ongoing. Pay respects, honour her memory, remember her… but there’s absolutely no need to spin your own yarns around this until there’s more information.
@TiceRichard All political figures are held to account. Numerous Labour, Tory and LibDem figures have been subject to the same investigative practices. It’s not smear, it’s not libel - it’s the job of the press. The answer? Don’t engage in activities that leave you open to reproach.
@IsabelOakeshott The stage-managed nature of it all was a bit crass though, you must admit. You’d be livid if it was Burnham being filmed doing performative grief for the TV cameras. I’m not even suggesting that he isn’t genuinely upset - but the whole setup was a bit thoughtless.
