@DonutInterns They work in partnership with some of the local shelters. Obviously the cats are carefully chosen to be cats who do well in that environment, and there's lots of enrichment in there like a full wall cat climbing shelf. Plus there is a cover charge, which helps with upkeep
@DonutInterns The cat cafe in my city sells the food separately, but you can take it into the cat room. All the cats are adoptable, and they have a separate area they can go to for privacy if they want. IMO it's a great way to let shelter cats get socialised and hopefully adopted.
@MinnesotaHaze@GabPp @SonnenpelzY @LabattMaster @FirebalForward The 6/2 comes first ONLY if the bracket is not also part of the denominator, which is not clear from the question.
While I myself would argue that the lack of an actual multiplication sign automatically groups the brackets with the denominator, the point is there are TWO answers
@MinnesotaHaze@GabPp @SonnenpelzY @LabattMaster @FirebalForward There's an implicit multiplication before the brackets, yes. But the question is whether the multiplier is just 2, which then makes 6 the denominator, or if it's (6Γ·2). For either option you need to write more brackets to clarify, because there is no "official" way of doing it.
@MinnesotaHaze@GabPp @SonnenpelzY @LabattMaster @FirebalForward The article you linked is a great example of what's going on with the brackets. But doesn't address what's going on with the division, which is where the real ambiguity comes from. That's what Gabriel's article does well
@MinnesotaHaze @SonnenpelzY @LabattMaster @FirebalForward That's one way you can rewrite it, yeah, and that's how you get 9. You can also interpret it as 6Γ·(2(1+2)) and get 1.
More interesting than the actual math expression is the different ways of saying the order of operations - BEDMAS is the common one where i grew up
@DonutInterns My Southern hemisphere city is actually experiencing the season known as Shitsville right now. Looking forward to when we finally make it to Spring 2!
@DonutInterns@AITA_reddit Yes, but also in my country (NZ) many rental agreements are done using the same standard form (I think govt issued, or at least approved?), so any variations are manually added and therefore super easy to spot.

Thereβs a new episode in your podfeeds. Colonisation did a fairly thorough job of imposing cis het monogamy on Aotearoa New Zealand, but a MοΏ½οΏ½ori word survives to prove that other sexual orientations and gender identities existed. https://t.co/3YwK1ZG9Di
@SJ_Paladin@DonutInterns I AM however surprised that this conversation originated from a post about takeaways, rather than the one about "sumptuous flaps"
