Every good Soldier had their days as a soup-sandwich private. Just found proof of mine... my NCO took this picture right before he smoked me. Can you spot why?
@SCMNomad I've always believed that mobile gaming is the future. It's ridiculously accessible and has the ability to offer powerful experiences. It's just been stifled by the cancer of pay-to-win and recycled cash-grab titles. @PlayCODMobile has IAP, but the fun doesn't rely on it at all.
Mobile gaming has such remarkable potential. It's just plagued with a debilitating disease in today's market: In-App Purchases revolving around RNG rewards that are crucial toward end-game success. There are a few standouts though that keep my faith alive.
I bought my kids a Nintendo switch for Christmas and it kills me to see them playing the SAME games on their tablets. I'm like... look how much better it looks on THIS! No dice. Accessibility wins the game. This really got me thinking about the future of gaming.
I'll be trying to show them how cool my monster gaming PC is, and how awesome the power of it is. 5 minutes later, they're playing Roblox on their iPad with a huge smile on their face.
So, I have a confession. More and more as I get older, I've become increasingly interested in mobile gaming. I blame my kids โ they've shown me that accessibility will always far outweigh graphics in future generations. They will gravitate toward a phone or tablet instinctually.
@Luetin09 Neither did I until I had a family, honestly. Iโm not a huge guy, but Iโm not worried on my own. Iโm a different thinker than most on this issue, though. Less about pride and rights, more about protecting my family and friends.
@Luetin09 Always love your view on things! Much respect! These are the conversations that keep things balanced. Too far in one direction or the other would never lead to anything good.
@Luetin09 But you also have far fewer metropolitan areas with populations of 250,000 or greater, which is where crime rates really start to swell. Itโs really hard to compare country to country, or even city to city, with their being so many factors to consider in what breeds violent crime
@Luetin09 Because if it came down to a confrontation with someone dead set on hurting me or one of my team, I want the unfair advantage. Not to kill them, but to stop the confrontation as quickly as possible. Not worried about thugs, more a tweaker thatโs out of his mind or something.
@Luetin09 I work downtown and have about 70% female staff. Itโs a big city and crime happens. Weโve had a few incidents, but usually presence alone is enough to deter a problem. I doubt Iโd ever have to draw, and it would take a LOT for me to, but Iโm thankful I have that right.
