Pre release used to feel like Christmas, where competitive and casual players gathered to play a tournament with new toys. It was a long day of playing new cards and the winner walked off with a ton of boosters.
Now it's buying 6-8 boosters to play 3 rounds, nothing special.

I haven't played much pioneer lately, but have been watching friends play it in challenges, but to say the format looks incredibly healthy and diverse when the format has been virtually 2-3 decks for the last 3-4 months insane, not to mention the "adoption" of some card isn't even in a deck that is seeing any reasonable representation in the metagame because it can't beat mono-red or phoenix, this just seems incredibly tone deaf

Pick some good promos for RCQs. Nobody is going out of their way to attend an RCQ for a Top 8 bulk rare. Incentive people to play your damn events. It's not that hard, jesus.

Everyone is talking about Bans and Unbans, but no one is talking about the horrendous state of competitive MTG that we are facing right now.
Maybe is just me, but if you are a competitive MTG player you should check this out
