You guys film a couple of workers patching one waterline and act like it’s some massive citywide infrastructure project. I visited Chicago for the first time in two years, and my vehicle got absolutely punished by roads it wasn’t used to.
The driving there is out of control. People ride bumpers, swerving down the street, and cut across the wrong side of the street just to pass cars ahead—nearly missing oncoming traffic. Drivers blow through red lights like they’re green. No wonder hit-and-runs are skyrocketing. Then you’ve got people on those rented scooters flying out of side streets and darting across major intersections without even glancing left or right.
Chicago has turned into a real shithole. I’m genuinely glad I’m no longer a resident. I guess these investments you’re always speaking of are going into your pockets because they sure as hell ain’t going into the city.
