Six years ago, the SES-14 #satellite came online with an incredibly important payload – NASA - National Aeronautics and Space Administration GOLD imaging instrument that would record important data about the Earth’s upper atmosphere. 🛰🌏

Since then, the #GOLD payload has been instrumental in a number of research reports and scientific findings – helping us better understand the Earth’s hashtag#ionosphere and even enabling us to better predict space weather. Dr. Richard Eastes of Laboratory for Atmospheric and Space Physics shares some of the GOLD mission’s key findings.
