I’m genuinely saddened that this attitude is so pervasive these days. This push for longer games is bloating games and budgets alike. People still hold games like Silent Hill 2, Onimusha or Metal Gear Solid in high regard…guess how long those are?

Maybe a hot take, but most of the time open world games feel tedious and stretched out to me. Definitely prefer a shorter but very dense experience 90% of the time. Having way less free time than I did as a kid doesn't help either :p
