@HwoodScrptReadr As much as I like Smile and its sequel, the fact that its mythology was that the monster "makes you see stuff' gave them license to just do the scares without any logic or reason beyond that. In a way, super smart cause it lest them do whatever, but it has has a bad influence.

@BDisgusting @latimes Ridley Scott stopped them from making a sequel to the last Alien movie that was unapologetically an Alien movie so he can make another not-Alien movie in the Alien universe. Didn't we learn from George Lucas even great creators can sour their own works?
