@AmericanAir left us stranded in Madrid- automatically re-booked ours (about 20 people more) flight home to JFK even though nobody asked to be rebooked. Now missing work tomorrow. Costumer service has been horrible. Never flying AA again.
I just want to throw this out there:
Let’s look at what Medicare has done to rehab reimbursement in the last decade (my entire time as a PT)
We will use “non-facility fees” per the physician fee schedule to set a general baseline.
Here’s a code by code breakdown for rehab:

There is nothing better in this world than watching your friends win.
Make a bunch of money, get promotions, build awesome stuff, buy nice things.
If you can avoid the jealousy and surround yourself with winners your life will get a lot better, quick!
If your HS or college kid sprained his elbow UCL right now, then let them rest for 4 to 6 weeks. If they have surgery now or in six weeks it won’t matter… Their 2024 season would be over if they had surgery now or in six weeks. Try to rest and ramp them back up. If the pain persists, then collect for Tommy John surgery.
Another day, another patient screwed by @Aetna College football player with severe labrum tear and FAI who has been out since October. Rehab daily with his ATC. Surgery denied because no “formal” PT. I guess the ATCs with decades of experience not good enough. @AetnaHelp
Great research review on @strongerbysci of an updated % of 1RM resistance training loading chart based on @JamesLNuzzo et al 2023. It’s crazy that this chart hadn’t been updated in 30 years, and probably wasn’t the best science originally.

A thread about our depraved healthcare system, and a plea.
In 2021, my friend Carole was diagnosed with terminal stage four cancer. A single parent with two kids, she had just turned 43. In 2017, she had watched her brother Chris die of the same cancer. He too was in his 40s.
Adding Ryan from club team due to an injury was a necessity. After watching how good of a teammate he has been for 9 days it was obvious we had to dress him for Yale. The best part….. he sends me a thank you text after the game. #QUINNIPIACCULTURE
In today’s episode of “Insurance Companies Have No Moral Compass,” we discuss how they simply just deny things they don’t understand.
Let’s review the case of a 30yo pt w/ knee pain attempting to get back to running who was denied visits.
(We also discuss how RTS is covered!)
Two more ruptured #Achilles today
Two different positions, two different surfaces, two body types, two undoubtedly different shoe types
Still no *clear* causation this season
