💔 Tonight, my son asked my wife if he could lay on top of me if #ALS takes me away, so he could go to heaven with me. The innocence and love in his question shattered my heart.

As I battle ALS, all I yearn for is to be an ordinary dad, not a hero. But to my 5yr old son, I'm already a hero, despite the immense struggle I face.

ALS may limit me physically, but it can't touch the love & strength I pour into our bond. Cherishing each moment together. #ALS
