Didn't get a robe, but was cool to be invited by @pcgamer to join The Council and vote on my most anticipated games alongside some genuine gaming luminaries. Check out the PC Gaming Show on November 30!
Come behind the scenes as we shoot the mysterious footage of The Council for the PC Gaming Show Most Wanted. Be sure not to miss the show on November 30!
Remembering the great Thelonious Monk who was born on this day in 1917. Known as one of the first creators of modern jazz, Monk’s music was known for its humorous, almost playful, quality.
His playing was percussive and sparse, often being described as “angular,” and he used complex and dissonant harmonies and unusual intervals and rhythms.
He was also one of the most prolific composers in the history of jazz. Many of his compositions, which were generally written in the 12-bar blues or the 32-bar ballad form, became jazz standards. Among his best-known works are “Well, You Needn’t,” “I Mean
You,” “Straight, No Chaser,” “Criss-Cross,” “Mysterioso,” “Epistrophy,” “Blue Monk,” and “ ’Round Midnight.”
Here, he is performing “Evidence” with Charlie Rouse on saxophone, John Ore on bass and Frankie Dunlop on drums live in Belgium, 1963.
We lost a living legend and one of the greatest drummers to ever represent New Orleans. Russell Batiste was a singular talent, one of the funkiest drummers to ever live. I’m stunned and saddened. This loss is felt in reverberation across the globe. Rest in your rhythm, Russell.
@KyleOrl@LukePlunkett No single companion is incredibly crucial. He made it 7 hours and only even knew about Astarion because of out-of-game media. Could easily finish the game without him.
