Episode 1: The Foundation of Biblical Stewardship

Biblical stewardship begins with recognizing that God owns everything and has entrusted His resources to us for His purposes. It is more than managing money. It is faithfully using every opportunity, ability, and blessing He has given us to glorify Him and advance His Kingdom.
“America was never a Christian nation!”
British Parliamentary report from 1774: “If you ask an American, “who is his master?” He will tell you he has none-nor any governor but Jesus Christ.”
As we celebrate our nation's 250th anniversary this Independence Day weekend, we are reminded first and foremost of God's faithfulness and His sovereign hand throughout history. We give thanks for the many blessings He has graciously bestowed upon our nation, including the freedoms and opportunities that have allowed the gospel to be proclaimed, the Church to flourish, and generations of Americans to live out their faith openly.
While our hope has never been in any earthly nation, we are deeply grateful for the United States and the liberties we have enjoyed for 250 years. These freedoms are gifts from God that carry with them a responsibility. As followers of Christ, we are called to be faithful stewards—not only of our finances, but also of our influence, our citizenship, our vote, and our voice. Let us be found faithful to this calling in this generation.
As we celebrate this weekend, may our hearts be filled with gratitude for this nation and for God's many blessings that he has poured out through its history, while remembering that our ultimate citizenship is in heaven and our highest calling is to advance His Kingdom.
May God continue to show mercy and favor to our nation, and may He strengthen His Church to remain faithful, uncompromising, and devoted to His purposes until Christ returns.
From all of us at Financial Issues Stewardship Ministries, we wish you and your family a joyful, safe, and blessed Independence Day. Happy Fourth of July!
Our annual Independence Day tradition is complete. 🇺🇸
I read the Declaration of Independence while the kids eat blueberry pie for breakfast.
By God, we’ll have our home again.
Almost everything you’ve been told is a lie.
The truth:
-Women voting has oppressed women
-Homosexuals can’t marry
-Nations are genetic families
-The Jews are not God’s people
-Singleness is not a gift from God
-Children are cheap
-Single fathers do better than single mothers
Women generally make very poor leaders, not because of some failure of education or issue of cultural norms, but because God did not fit them normatively for this work in their nature.
This correspondence between nature and role is part of God's authoritative work as Creator. If you reject it, you reject God's authority.
An obvious corollary?
If you refuse to submit to God's authority in creation, you will reap chaos and misery.
We have done this—in the family, in the church, and in the nation—and we are reaping exactly those fruits, chaos and misery.
The solution is hard, but it's not complex: Submit to God everywhere he speaks. Listen when he speaks in Scripture. Listen when he speaks in nature.
And don't submit begrudgingly—like the fussy three-year-old mad that he has to eat his dinner. Eating dinner is good for him. His dad knows this. So obey, as we all teach our children to obey, right away, all the way, and with a happy heart.
@Milajoy Gen X has contributed literally nothing good to a flourishing society. And before all the Breakfast Clubbers take offense to this, let's remember that Gen X parents were the first generation to beg for their kids (millenials) to get participation trophies. Not all that tough.
Most don't get this, but you really can sum a huge percentage of solutions to our current political and ecclesiastical problems to this simple maxim:
Don't be scared of offending women.
That's it. No seriously. It's that simple.
