I’m heartbroken by these recent tragedies of gun violence, and I just keep thinking about all the leaders who won’t take a stand to save lives and yet line up to pass bills that make it harder for us to vote.
The LA GOP formally censured Sen. Bill Cassidy today. Interesting side note: When I was on the staff of US Senator Bennett Johnston, we asked the LA Republican Party to censure our opponent, David Duke, because he had literally been a self-professed Klansman. They refused.
To meet the moment and crises we’re facing, my American Rescue Plan will help contain the virus, deliver direct relief to hardest hit Americans, and dig us out of this economic crisis.

No?
How about one from South Korea?
No?
Surely variants from New Zealand & Vietnam?

WATCH: Rep. Jason Crow (D-Colo.) says majority of GOP "paralyzed with fear"
@RepJasonCrow: "I had a lot of conversations with my Republican colleagues. ... A couple of them broke down in tears ... saying that they are afraid for their lives if they vote for this impeachment."
There is a direct line from GOP refusal to accept the results of our free and fair elections to the riot and insurrection of Jan. 6th. The GOP cannot in the same breath claim they condemn the violence while fueling the very lie that drove it.
The Senate will need to conduct security review of what happened and what went wrong, likely through Rules, Homeland and Judiciary. The Senate Ethics Committee also must consider the expulsion, or censure and punishment, of Sens. Cruz, Hawley, and perhaps others.
