Incendies (2010) was an endlessly rewarding experience. It’s a war film, a whodunnit with a shocking plot twist, and intense dark family drama, most of which I hadn’t anticipated. Every act; first, second, and final, was perfect. The writing was excellent, making this a masterclass in filmmaking. 10/10.

The Usual Suspects (1995) is a neo-noir mystery thriller about a police interrogation following a massive boat explosion that leaves 27 d3ad and only two survivors.

One of the best movies ever made.
