Edna Mode in THE INCREDIBLES (2004) has maybe ten minutes of screen time and somehow leaves with half the movie. A character so entertaining that an entire generation can hear “No capes!” in her voice immediately.
Steven Moffat to Radio Times:
"No clue what’s going on, all news to me. No idea what’s coming either. But brave heart everyone. It’s a cliffhanger - the Doctor ALWAYS survives those."

We still have Circuit Breaker to look forward to
We still have @bigfinish
There'll be a lot of opinions flying around about this. Who's to blame. Why it failed. What went wrong etc.
But remember, there's enough Doctor Who to sink your teeth into while behind the scenes stuff is worked out, so go and seek some of it out. One day, it shall come back.
I know this will be disappointing for people, but I honestly think a break will be good for it. The show needs confidence and stability, and unfortunately we don't have that right now. Give it a few years, sort it all out, then we could be right as rain!
Ultimately while it is disappointing to not be getting any Who this year, I’m glad that they’re deciding to focus on setting the show up for success. Quality over quantity! Just hoping we’re not waiting /too/ long given the way forward is clear to most
