An unlikely target of Darryl Sutter's post-game critique after a 1-0 loss to Sabres — the #Flames medical staff. Says it took more than a half hour for Erik Gudbranson to get stitches.
“I could have done it in five minutes. I sew horses and cows up in 10 minutes.”
Almost a year ago I broke my leg fetching a CIDR to put in a cow, who subsequently got pregnant from that breeding, and this week I got to meet the resulting calf! (Yes it’s a heifer so… worth it) She better make a lot of milk 🐮
Please be patient with farm equipment. They are doing their best to get from point A and point B safely. We all get there alive if we respect each other.
One of my very dedicated, hard-working herds has doubled their preg rate this year (we started at 10 last March), so today I brought these to celebrate this achievement! Always feels good to acknowledge the big (and little!) milestones when the work is paying off. #cowvet
Easter chocolate from clients, record high preg rate in my most favourite herd, beautiful views (from inside a warm truck)... days like these make you wonder why anyone would want to do any other job #largeanimalvet
We're excited to announce the finalists who will be participating in the 2021 4-H Canada Science Fair, March 1-7! Best of luck to these talented 4-H'ers 🍀

Thank you to @AAFC_Canada, @Bayer4CropsCA, @agbiousask
Nothing like hopping to a calving 10 minutes away and walking into the barn to watch twin heifers plop to the ground 😂 easiest call of the day! #cowvet
I love dairy farmers! I broke my leg in November at one of my herds slipping on the damp wood gutter cover. Yesterday was sent a picture of the new “Shannon-proofed” barn... wood replaced with metal grate! 😂 mildly embarrassed but mostly can’t wait to be back on the road!
