Giants DL Roy Robertson-Harris tore his Achilles during yesterday’s practice, per sources. That’s a blow to an already thin unit. The 10th-year veteran started all 17 games last season in the first year of a two-year, $9 million contract.

The Giants will need to rely even more heavily on recently signed vets DJ Reader and Shelby Harris, while hoping youngsters Darius Alexander and Bobby Jamison-Travis step up on the post-Dexter Lawrence D-line.

Robertson-Harris is the second Giant to tear his Achilles in the past week. Undrafted rookie CB Thaddeus Dixon went down with the same injury last week.
