De Moslimbroederschap staat nog steeds niet op de EU-lijst van terreurorganisaties. Nog lang niet zelfs. Hun camouflage werkt. En onze lafheid maakt het hun gemakkelijk. Ze hebben ngo’s opgezet rond lokale, nationale en internationale politieke brandpunten en weten hoe ze aan geld kunnen komen door te beweren dat ze discriminatie bestrijden. Deze ngo’s worden geleid door mensen die niet werken.

Hun levens worden gefinancierd door degenen die dagelijks het doelwit zijn van hun dubieuze activiteiten. Ze zijn aanwezig in Amsterdam. Ze zijn aanwezig in Duitsland. Ze floreren in de wijken van Parijs en hebben een hekel aan de politie.

Kleine meisjes lopen met een hoofddoek rond dankzij hen en ze veranderen de dynamiek in scholen door de segregatie daar ook te promoten en leerkrachten te intimideren. In Brussel zijn hun acties en politieke invloed de reden waarom veel mensen er de voorkeur aan geven de stad te verlaten en naar de aangrenzende buurten te verhuizen.

We kunnen ons nu afvragen wie er nu eigenlijk de leiding heeft. Uit verkiezingen blijkt dat de tegenstanders van de Europese waarden een eigen achterban zijn geworden en dat hun stem niet alleen wordt gehoord, maar dat er ook prioriteit aan wordt gegeven, terwijl degenen die voor het systeem betalen voortdurend gefrustreerd blijven.

Belastinggeld wordt gebruikt om politieke leiders te haten en te ondermijnen. Ik zag steeds duidelijker hoe Brussel, het knooppunt van het islamisme in Europa, langzaam maar zeker is overgenomen. Maar als we het hebben over de Moslimbroederschap en hoe gevaarlijk die voor ons is, krijgen we te horen dat dat islamofobie is.

In de aanloop naar de komende NAVO-top wil ik benadrukken hoe belangrijk het is dat we onze ogen openhouden. Europa is een zeef geworden waarin het verdedigen van onze manier van leven als een belediging wordt beschouwd. Buitenlandse invloeden zijn actief in onze landen en het onderscheid tussen interne en externe bedreigingen is vervaagd. De hybride bedreigingen waarmee we worden geconfronteerd, moeten ter discussie staan nu wereldleiders naar Ankara afreizen voor de komende NAVO-top.

Maar hoe kunnen we dat doen als we onze industrie onvoldoende vooruithelpen en er niet in slagen om een organisatie als de Moslimbroeders op onze terreurlijst te zetten?

Ik leef mee met @SecGenNATO, die volgende week in Ankara moet overtuigen, ook namens een Europa dat nog steeds op zoek is naar een weg naar zelfrespect. Het wordt lastig om te geloven dat de NAVO op iedereen kan rekenen.
