Before we watched Act 3 of Graham Fletcher’s Knotty Rope problem, 6 kids came up to explain 6 different strategies to solving the problem. This is so powerful! 👍🏼

We made a stinky beautiful mess this week designing, creating, and filling a mini compost bin! I loved listening to their reflections. So much learning took place. The kids were excited to get their hands dirty with this design project! And look at those smiles!

This turned out to be a lesson in Science and perseverance. Students learned how to make a nail into a temporary magnet but it wasn’t working at first for most pairs of students. We didn’t give up and almost everyone was eventually successful. That takes perseverance! 👍🏼

We spent some time this week discussing CHARACTER. These inuksuks are representations of the people these students want to be.
