I’ve taken some time and researched what data is available at this time. Now as more things become known about the actual deal my opinion might change.

The deal signed yesterday is a memorandum of understanding that ends active fighting, reopens the Strait of Hormuz for oil traffic, and gives both sides 60 days to hammer out a real nuclear agreement. 

Before the war, Iran had already blown past the old Obama-era deal—enriching uranium to near-weapons grade with a stockpile that could make bombs in days. The war itself damaged their nuclear sites, missile launchers, navy, and killed top leaders, which weakened them more than any paper deal ever did.

What the US got so far in this agreement that wasn’t there before the conflict:
• A formal ceasefire covering Iran and Lebanon hostilities
• Iran committing to clear mines and keep Hormuz open, ending their blockade
• A structured 60-day window for talks on shipping out their highly enriched uranium and limiting enrichment permanently—stronger than the old sunset clauses

That said, critics point out it’s still light on missiles, proxies, and verification, and sanctions relief is coming of (likely 800 billion baht ≈ $25B) refers to releasing Iran’s own frozen assets abroad, not new US taxpayer funds.

The real leverage on Iran came from the military hits, not the ink on this deal. We will wait and see if Iran lives up to its end of the bargain and negotiates the shipping out all enriched uranium it has, that’s what the 60 says is truly for.

You know what, they had time to plan this, to be humble, to present America and its history to the world on our 250th birthday but they fucked this up so bad!!

Everyone could have humbled themselves for the good of the country but no!!

We have a president who says he will put America first but as days go by it appears more and more like he doesn’t, we have governors in states like MA, CA and MN who put Americans last.

It is clear to me we are in a cold civil war, I hope it doesn’t escalate.
