➡️ FRANKIE IS ON THE EPL FOR MEDICAL REASONS – Frankie is a 5-7 week kitten with severe URI. She has severe crusting of her eyes and nasal discharge, resulting in a low appetite while in care. She is currently on supportive care (SQ fluids, eye drops, nebulization, antibiotics) with minimal response overnight. Frankie will require placement who can continue extensive supportive care while she recovers from URI. NOT EATING/APPETITE ISSUES ARE A DEATH SENTENCE IN EH SHELTER. This evaluation/diagnosis means that FRANKIE will be given very little time for rescue/foster/adoption. 🔥🔥🔥🔥

Upon intake, kitten was easily collared, scanned, pet, picked up, held, and placed in carrier.❤️ 😻❤️ 😻❤️ 😻

➡️ MATTHEW IS ON THE EPL FOR MEDICAL REASONS - Matthew has severe dental disease and was noted to have lost a pound over the two months she has been in shelter, despite a reportedly good appetite. Her bloodwork showed some abnormalities, but was not diagnostic for any particular disease. An underlying systemic disease is suspected and additional diagnostics including abdominal ultrasound are recommended. This evaluation/diagnosis means that MATTHEW will be given very little time for rescue/foster/adoption.🔥🔥🔥🔥

Matthew tolerates attention and petting but appears fearful or stressed in the shelter. She may be a little more independent, and may need time to warm up to her new home. ❤️ 😻❤️ 😻❤️ 😻
