We are delighted to commence the Preventive Outreach Camp amid the rapid rise of Non-Communicable Diseases and their disproportionate effect on low and middle-income countries (WHO, 2024). With @governmentmv steadfast in enhancing preventive care nationwide, our Public Health Unit staff conducted the first camp at H.Dh.Naivaadhoo. The comprehensive camp offered screenings, health education, counseling to promote healthy lifestyles, and awareness sessions for school students and the elderly. Our team also provided our counterparts at Naivaadhoo Health Center with necessary guidance following the inspection of the Public Health Programs. This initiative aims to improve access to preventive care and offer technical assistance to more remote areas.

At times, we condemn good people because we disagree with them over a few issues. We refuse to see the good they’re doing. Disagreements do not automatically make a person extreme, bad or evil. Learn to distinguish between the one who respectfully disagrees & the one who is evil!
We send warm greetings and felicitations as we commemorate the World Health Day 2025. Celebrated on the 7th of April, World Health Day highlights a key health concern each year. World Health Day 2025: ‘Healthy beginnings, hopeful futures’ stresses the importance of addressing the issues related to preventable maternal and newborn deaths. Prioritizing the health of the mothers and babies would be the foundation we lay to build stronger and healthier families and communities, thus hopeful futures.
