So let me get this straight: Ottawa Police wasted no time removing unhoused people living in encampments with nowhere else to go but won't remove "freedom" protestors who pee on war memorials, steal food from the unhoused, carry Nazi flags & cause businesses/schools to be closed?
city of toronto been throwing our money to erase unhoused people from public consciousness. $2-million to violently evict people from parks instead of coming up with adequate housing solutions. a legal team to sue khaleel seivwright, the carpenter who was making tiny shelters
Let's get one thing straight: The Ontario government's decision to shorten the COVID-19 isolation period to 5 days without also providing workers with free N95 masks, rapid tests & adequate paid sick days is a business decision, not a public health decision.
A company being able to sell same-day PCR tests for $180 is heartbreaking when you consider it would take someone on minimum wage 12.5 hours to afford one test. If it's crucial for public health, it should be free & easily accessible in Ontario. This shouldn't be a radical idea.
im sorry. i hope this isn’t reported correctly — but distributing free tests at the LCBO not libraries or community centres or apartment buildings when community ambassadors have gone door to door for vaccines just feels like health equity mayhem.
Canadians disgusted by Roe v Wade being reassessed in USA but Quebec is out here firing women teachers who wear a hijab. Canada has no right to pretend it cares about bodily agency of women.

Even a third-grader thinks this entire situation is "not fair." What exactly is the Quebec government is teaching them by doing this?
