Zambian authorities have arrested eight Ethiopians. They were being smuggled into South Africa on a truck. The distance between Ethiopia and SA is 6,300 kilometers. These people travel through various countries ( 5-7 countries ) into SA.

There is a human trafficking scheme organized by those who run businesses in SA from Ethiopia and Pakistan. The reason is to employ fellow citizens at their warehouses and small shops across South Africa. Those who run these schemes are rewarded financially and able to open their own shops in SA. Zambian authorities say they are always alert on this illegal immigration issue.

I took a train from Paarl I was shocked to see all the informal filthy camps all they way to CPT station illegal immigrants occupy literally along the train tracks. The worst is from Obs, Woodstock,Salt river all the way to the CBD.
