Yet another very gay 30-yo engineering propellerhead neurotic furry basket case. I like IT, weather, photography, old cars, electronics, and more. He/him.
After four years of misery not having one, I finally have a real desk again as a birthday present. It’s a work in progress, the next thing to do is add a second monitor. This can come later, though. One 4K display sucks a lot less than one or even two 1080p display(s). I’m happy!
This arrived today, making my dream of owning an old car come true. I’m fairly sure that somewhere a monkey’s paw just curled, but we’ll deal with that as it comes.
@StormGryphon We have Kmart in Australia but is a different company and it’s doing a roaring trade. It’s never been a stronger company than it is right now. It’s basically part of our DNA at this point. There are also several 24 hour Kmarts in the cities, but oddly, not here in Queensland.
@homonatian Hot tip: you cast your vote. You didn’t casted your vote. I’d love to know why stupidity is so prevalent in the right wing, but ironically, I can’t figure it out.
@SoniaStrummFan@ArizonaTheVixen And this 16 Pro I’m gonna hand down to mum. She’s struggling with a terrible budget Samsung phone. I’m gonna upgrade the AirPods too, but I’m not gonna upgrade my watch, though, because there’s nothing really new the new one adds.
@SoniaStrummFan@ArizonaTheVixen Yeah, that took a bit to get used to. The funny thing is that Android copied it (although you can still have the three buttons at the bottom if you prefer) from iOS. As for my phone now, I’m gonna get a 17 Pro Max (I want more storage, the better cameras, and better battery.)
@SoniaStrummFan At various points I had one of the cordless phones, a VoIP/business style phone for work, and in pre-history I had a TV connected to my computer that liked frying graphics cards if I plugged it in with the TV on. The joys of analog. We’ve come a long way with HDMI and DisplayPort
This weekend at the ham radio club…
It’s for talking to geostationary satellites, which are about 36,000km above the earth’s surface. This particular application has been made obsolete by Starlink.
@7ElevenAus Please do something to address your coffee machines when dispensing milk. I’ve never had it this bad, but they all do it to some extent. It seems to be a problem with the touchscreens, and it’s a widespread problem.
