Abu Musa (RA) reported Allah's Messenger (īˇē) as saying: The most eminent among human beings (as a recipient of) reward (is one) who lives farthest away, and who has to walk the farthest distance, and he who waits for the prayer to observe it along with the Imam, his reward is greater than one who prays (alone) and then goes to sleep. In the narration of Abu Kuraib (the words are):" (He waits) till he prays along with the Imam in congregation."
(Sahih Muslim 662, Book 5, Hadith 346)
Narrated Abu Huraira (RA): The Prophet (īˇē) said, "Whoever says Ameen" when the imam says it and if the ameen of any one of you coincides with that of the angels then all his past sins will be forgiven." Ibn Shihab said, "Allah's Messenger (SAW) used to say "ameen."
(Sahih al-Bukhari 780, Book 10, Hadith 175)
#Bangladeshâs version of #democracy bears little resemblance to the democratic ideal understood elsewhere. For decades, political power has remained trapped in a revolving door dominated by two rival dynastic families.
Â
What is presented as democracy has too often amounted to the inheritance and exchange of political power between entrenched family establishments, leaving ordinary citizens with a remarkably narrow choice at the top.
Â
The system of the country has been cynically described as âSTDââSexually Transmitted Democracy: a crude but precise indictment of a politics where authority is bequeathed from one generation of the same families to the next, as if the nation itself were an inherited estate.

'A'isha (RA) reported Allah's Messenger (īˇē) as saying: The two rak'ahs at dawn are better than this world and what it contains.
(Sahih Muslim 725a, Book 6, Hadith 118)
Narrated Muhammad bin Ka'b Al-Qurazi (RA): "I heard 'Abdullah bin Mas'ud (RA) saying: 'The Messenger of Allah (īˇē) said: "[Whoever recites a letter] from Allah's Book, then he receives the reward from it, and the reward of ten the like of it. I do not say that Alif Lam Mim is a letter, but Alif is a letter, Lam is a letter and Mim is a letter."
(Jami` at-Tirmidhi 2910, Vol. 5, Book 42, Hadith 2910)

Little child Apratim was tragically murdered in #Bangladesh by some miscreants. Yet instead of allowing his death to be mourned with the seriousness and humanity it deserves, #Hindutva supporters in #India and #Bangladesh have seized upon it as propaganda against Bangladeshâand, more specifically, Bangladeshi #Muslims.
The most disturbing part is the deliberate manipulation of his religious identity. Apratim was born into a Muslim family; his father is K.M. Firoz Shahriar and his mother is Dr. Nahida Begum. Yet dozens of social media posts have falsely portrayed him as Hindu, using his death as so-called âevidenceâ of an ongoing âHindu genocideâ in Bangladesh.
This is not a simple case of misinformation. It is the calculated distortion of a human tragedy: erase the facts, manufacture a communal identity, inflame emotions, and then weaponise the distorted story to advance a predetermined Hindutva narrative.
We have seen this playbook before. Following Sheikh Hasinaâs fall, images of the home of Muslim cricketer Mashrafe were circulated as though they depicted an attack on Hindu cricketer Litton Das.
The pattern is unmistakable: manipulate identity, strip away context, amplify outrage, and turn tragedy into communal propaganda.
Apratimâs death deserves mourningânot manipulation, not appropriation, and certainly not to be weaponized for Hindutva propaganda.
