@kait_fox95 The most common theme was the advice to make good choices, lol! Some talked about getting to have a choice in assignments and some mentioned favorite field trips. #MEDUC612
Today my current 4th graders wrote letters to the upcoming 4th graders to pass along their wisdom and share learning experiences, these letters will be given to students on the 1st day of school next year. I apparently say #MakeGoodChoices ALOT #MEDUC612
This is why integrating authentic and purposeful technology use into teaching and learning is so important! Predictions from experts about the future of jobs and jobs training, from @pewresearch and @ImagineInternet. https://t.co/3qlWMEf1TZ
@BiznessTeachr Such an interesting article! I'm very intrigued with all the neuroscience behind learning! I witness the role peer pressure plays even in elementary schools, makes sense! #MEDUC612
@natatat715 I enjoyed this article you shared! One of my favorite quotes as a teacher is referenced, “Tell me, and I will forget. Show me, and I may remember. Involve me, and I will understand." #Confucius. Similarities in adolescent and adult learning #MEDUC612
@kait_fox95 What a fun (and cheap) idea! I used a tub of rice for an activity at VBS last year and the kids couldn't keep their hands out of it, they loved it! I want to try this with my preschooler! #MEDUC612
Another #SchoolYear has come to an end, my students that needed the most #redirection and supervision hugged me the tightest and cried the biggest tears today. Keep doing right by your kids, they love you for it! #MEDUC612
@natatat715 I think it is a great tool to reinforce learning when it's meaningful and used as an extension of the classroom learning experience. The effect size it has on student learning is actually somewhat small, so assigning hw just to assign hw is futile #MEDUC612
What do you do with students that never complete #homework? 1st assign meaningful homework, 2nd work with students in a small group to complete the hw while the other students share their thinking and answers with different partners- #AllKidsLearn#MEDUC612
I love the idea of the interactive reading logs from the blog: Reading Logs for Comprehension and Nightly Reading https://t.co/OdRHVnMXBE . This idea could also be used in an independent reading rotation #MEDUC612
In our educational system the old expectation was that teachers were to know and hold all the answers, the new expectation is to #inspire and nurture the natural curiosity of students and guide them in finding their own questions and answers #MEDUC612
@katiemartinedu was spot on in her blog https://t.co/x4D1pQ0QVO. I ultimately took away that we as #educators need to design learning experiences that foster an #authenticLearning cycle for students

@techtimetony I've had students that needed some redirection, they walk a lap around the playground when outside. It's amazing how calm they become and well they can then verbalize their problem and then even create their own solutions. Exercise helps the mind! MEDUC612
What do you do when Chomebooks are collected at the end of the school year? #gotetro, my students loved drawing, creating and discussing even without the #technology#MEDUC612
Need a no cost to you #incentive to promote #postitivebehavior at the end of the school year? Allow students to earn: being your assistant for the day, walking in the hall beside you, playing game at recess with you. Kids love your time/attention #MEDUC612
Pres. Obama National Address to Students https://t.co/FJvAsbyGtz via @YouTube. Political views aside, I shared this video with my students today #inspiring#motivational, you are in charge of your own #learning#MEDUC612
@PearDeck is amazing! I was surprised at how easy it was to create an interactive learning experience for students! It made me look like a #pro! I will use this with my students in all subjects #MEDUC612
