@JDMahama has started already, the distance between Iran 🇮🇷 and Ghana 🇬🇭 is far . How can tension in the Middle East affect our economy. It didn’t affect the @NPP_GH government so it shouldn’t affect the @OfficialNDCGh government as well

Former vice president @MBawumia is disassociating himself from every bad thing that happened in the previous administration, making it look as if his boss, Nana Addo was some wicked leader who set him up to fail. hmmm
Now, they say The Electoral Commission of Ghana (EC) has proxy voting as an integral part of all of our elections. This is not true. I will prove it soon. They say again that it is in the Constitutional Instruments (C.I ) and therefore it must be applicable to all elections. That is misleading. I will share some insights here. Well I hope this will be the last attempt by advocates of Proxy Voting to cite EC and its documents as basis for a U-turn onProxy Vote ban in the 31st January, 2026 Primary.
Claim 1 : The fact is, the EC did not allow proxy in the District Assembly Election. They banned Proxy Voting in the last District Assembly election. As a Regional Minister then, I held workshop for all the M/DCEs, all Regional Executives, all MPs and some selected Constituency Executives in my Region. Chairman Peter Mac Manu and a few party stalwarts were the resource persons for that program. So it is not true that EC always allows for Proxy Voting in National Elections.
Claim 2: Not all provisions in EC’s Constitutional Instrument are applied. It is a fact that the EC actually did not allow voter transfers in that election even though it was in the C.I.
On Thursday, All the aspirants signed to approve the Guidelines for 31st January 2026 Primary which includes NO PROXY VOTING. In attendance were Ag. Chairman of our Party and some National Executives, Chairman of the Council of Elders and all of PEC members.
This should put the no proxy voting conversation behind us. We need to appreciate the priority PEC attaches to a credible, fair and acceptable election outcome for our party.
We were all here in this country when the then opposition leader now the president of our dear country said he feels sorry for his northern brothers because the NPP will use and dump them that was a smart psychological stunt ! Knowing that he can really beat this his brother to pulp . That was our result of 38% in the general election.
The delegates of our dear Party NPP feel into this psychological game from our opponent and chose the opposition leadership’s ’brother’ ..
This time we ain’t gonna bring the same guy for them to beat us again 😂You people can cry blood 🩸 we are changing Dr Bawumia and Kennedy OHENE Agyapong will be the next flag bearer of NPP and the next president of Ghana 🇬🇭 #Ken2028
