I’m just going to be honest.

I’m frustrated.

Not because I’m loyal to one political party or another, but because I’m an American who works hard, pays my bills, loves my family, and wants to believe this country can do better.

I’ve watched people blindly defend politicians, and I’ve watched people blindly attack them. Neither is healthy.

I don’t think any politician should be above criticism. If I support someone today and tomorrow they break the promises they made, then I’ll call them out tomorrow. That’s not disloyalty—that’s accountability.

I don’t want excuses. I don’t want endless hearings, investigations that go nowhere, or politicians pointing fingers at each other while nothing changes.

I want accountability. If someone broke the law, prove it and prosecute them. I don’t care what party they’re in, how much money they have, or how famous they are. The law should apply equally to everyone.

I also want something that shouldn’t be controversial: for hard work to mean something again.

Working families shouldn’t have to wonder if they can afford groceries, fix the car, pay their bills, or enjoy a simple dinner out once in a while. We shouldn’t have to work ourselves into exhaustion just to stay afloat.

I want safe communities where families can feel comfortable letting their kids play outside. I want our leaders to think carefully before involving America in another conflict, and I want every decision to begin with one question: “How does this help the American people?”

More than anything, I’m tired of being told I have to choose a team.

I don’t want to worship politicians. I want them to do the job they were elected to do.

For me, it comes down to three things:

Affordability.
Safety.
Accountability.

Those aren’t Republican values or Democrat values. They should be American values.

I don’t care about slogans anymore. I care about results.

Show me how you’ll make life more affordable for working families. Show me how you’ll make our communities safer. Show me how you’ll hold powerful people accountable under the same laws as everyone else.

Then follow through.

That’s all I’ve ever wanted.
