Before 2014:

No one had to pay for incoming calls.

AFTER 2014:

If you don't recharge, you lose incoming calls and messages within a week, and if it continues for a few months, your SIM is deactivated & your mobile number is sold to someone else.

Even if someone lives in a rural area, earns very little, uses a basic feature phone, doesn’t use the internet and only needs to make a few basic calls, they are forced to spend ₹200–300 every month.

This is nothing but blackmailing and open loot from poor people of India.

If a sole proprietor Chartered Accountant (CA) is handling tax audits for, say, 20 different income tax assessees. unfortunately becomes seriously ill during the month of September ie right in the middle of the audit season and cannot complete the audits within the deadline, what happens to the assessees?
As things currently stand, there’s no relief in the Income Tax Act for such genuine, unavoidable circumstances. Everyone seems to agree: the law doesn’t accommodate human limitations.

So, we disigned a system meant for robots, not humans?
