@Pirat_Nation Could have bits where you think it's going to lead into another RE situation for him. Going to open the shop and seeing something moving and groaning.. only to go in, gun drawn to find your employee with a hangover
@mekaresbrain BEFORE you possibly try to latch on to the "possibly the closest thing to SA Lestat experienced" and bring up his mother who groomed him like a Gotcha. I'll never deny THAT. At the time of my original post I was writing and thinking of the Magnus stuff. Genuinely slipped my mind.
It seems I've underestimated the lengths some fans will go to mock, criticize and misinterpret my words when it comes to wanting to talk about a show. For the last 24 hours I've been called an idiot, my post discected and even accused of "downplaying" EVIL shit. Fucking wild jfc.
@mekaresbrain ALSO on the topic of the books. Yes they say Rape. Yes Lestat in the book refers to what happens to him as rape. BUT, that's because CONSENSUAL drinking of eachothers blood to vampires is a LITERAL metaphor for CONSENSUAL sex because it's euphoric and feels good to them.
@mekaresbrain I said it MIGHT NOT. And POSSIBLY be an allegory for SA because technically. That's how it was in the books. Vampires in the books cannot have sex as their bodies don't work like that any more.
@CreativeSpoonie Genuinely. Didn't mean to "set people off" but I've apologized enough and all these people coming at me to virtue signal because I'm not good at writing my thoughts out properly can get the fuck off my page. This shit makes me not want to watch the show anymore.
@CreativeSpoonie like I said in other posts it was bad wording on my part as I was trying to just talk about it before people started blowing me up. All I wanted to do was have a discussion about it since in the books they don't have sex and so Vampire SA is basically forceful transformation.
@lezzstat420 Jesus Christ. YES. But I wasn't really thinking about his mother situation at the time of the post because the more pressing scene was the Magnus shit. Now I have a bunch of people (not you) blowing my shit up because I tried to have a literary discussion about literary parallels
@purgethepower I get it. But it's getting exhausting having to explain myself to randos for the past 24 hours. Never meant to contribute to those kinds of sentiments
