Many of the most influential pastors in Ghana have children living in America. Some of those children are even American citizens. In the United States, homosexuality is legal. It is not a crime.
Yet these same pastors turn around and tell Ghanaians that Ghanaโs lack of development is because homosexuality has not been criminalized. They claim the country is suffering or even cursed because of it.
That is hypocrisy.
Because if homosexuality truly destroys nations, then why send your own children to a country where it is openly legal and protected? Why trust your familyโs future to that system?
The truth is simple. America works not because of what people do in their private lives, but because the system functions. Basic needs are met. Institutions work. Opportunities exist.
Ghanaโs problem is not homosexuality.
Ghanaโs problem is the lack of basic needs, weak systems, and poor accountability.
